How Our Pricing Works

Our prices are based on time, and they assume a vehicle in the condition a maintained daily driver is normally in.

Add-ons are for extreme circumstances, where the condition takes significantly more work to bring the vehicle to standard. Anything beyond them is quoted separately before I start, and nothing is added to your total without your approval.

The goal is to bring every vehicle I touch to one standard and then keep it there. That standard does not change between the first detail and the tenth.

Ways to Pay Less

Three Ways to Save

Two Cars, One Visit

$25 off each

Both vehicles done at the same address on the same day. Works for a household, a neighbor, or a co-worker in the same lot.

Send Me Someone

$15 off, both of you

If someone books because you sent them, you both get $15 off your next detail. They just need to give me your name when they text. No limit on how many.

Veterans and First Responders

$30 off

Any vehicle, any time. I’m an Army veteran myself. Tell me when you text and it comes off the quote.

All three apply to Full Details, one discount per job.

Maintenance Plan

Keep It Clean, Pay Less.

Your first detail is the reset. After that I come back on a schedule and keep it that way — and because a maintained car is far less work, the more often I come, the less each visit costs.

Maintenance Visit — Inside + Out

CarSUV / TruckLarge SUV / Van
Every 2 weeks$105$115$125
Monthly$110$130$150
Every 2 months$135$160$185
Quarterly$160$185$210

What a Maintenance Visit Covers

  • Foam pre-wash and hand wash
  • Wheels, tires, and tire finish
  • Spray protection on the paint
  • Full vacuum, seats to cargo
  • Dash, console, doors, and vents wiped down
  • Inside and outside glass

Carpet and upholstery shampoo, stain work, pet hair, and engine bay are quoted separately, same as any other job.

  • Your first detail is regular price. Maintenance pricing starts on the next visit.
  • I book your next visit before I leave and text you before I come.
  • You pay each visit. No contract, no card on file.
  • Skip too long and the car needs a full reset again — I will tell you before I do any extra work.

Work Vehicles

Fleet Upkeep on a Schedule

I come to your lot and clean work vehicles on a set schedule. Nothing leaves the yard and nobody loses a truck for the day.

  • Every two weeks, monthly, or a cadence you pick.
  • Inside and out — wash, wheels and tires, paint protection, vacuum, interior wipe-down and glass.
  • Priced per vehicle after I have seen the fleet. The total is confirmed in writing before I start.
  • Invoiced per visit. No contract.
  • I will need a water spigot and an outlet at the lot.

I am one person, so I take on fleets I can keep up with — roughly three to fifteen vehicles. Text the count and what they are and I will come take a look.

How I Work

Most Scratches Happen During the Wash.

Swirls and fine scratches usually come from washing, not from driving. The whole process is built to keep grit off your paint.

Most of the Dirt Never Gets Touched

I pressure rinse first, then cover the car in foam and let it sit. The grit lifts and rinses off before a mitt ever gets near the paint.

Two Buckets and a Grit Guard

After every section the mitt gets rinsed against a grit guard, so dirt drops to the bottom of the bucket instead of going back on your car. Lower panels get their own mitt. A mitt that hits the ground is done for the day.

Wheels Get Their Own Everything

Wheels are the filthiest part of a vehicle, so they go first with brushes and towels that never touch paint. Brake dust does not end up on a panel later.

Dried Without Dragging

Water gets blown out of the mirrors, grille, and jambs first. Then the towel is laid flat and pulled, not scrubbed around. Dragging a loaded towel is where most drying scratches come from.

About Ethan

Ethan with his son at a McKinney car show, wearing a Big Dawg Auto Detail shirt

I’m Ethan. I run Big Dawg Auto Detail out of McKinney, and I’m the only person who touches your vehicle. No crew, no subcontractors, no rotating staff. You deal with me from the quote to the walkaround.

I’m an Army veteran. I started Big Dawg in Granbury, Texas in 2023 and brought it with me to McKinney. It’s a registered Texas corporation, it carries commercial liability insurance, and detailing is what I do full time.

The way I work is simple. You get the price before I start, and nothing gets added without your say-so. If a stain has been in the carpet for three years, I’ll tell you at the walkaround instead of surprising you at the end.

I’d rather do a few cars properly than a lot of them fast.

Upkeep

What a Detail Actually Changes

Clean Isn’t the Same as Flawless

Washing and decontaminating removes what’s sitting on the paint. Swirls, scratches, etching and rock chips are damage in the clear coat. They don’t wash out.

Paint Can Be Clean and Still Feel Rough

Brake dust, rail dust and overspray bond into the clear coat. That’s contamination, not dirt, and soap doesn’t touch it.

Old Stains Lighten Before They Disappear

Anything sitting in carpet or cloth for months has usually dyed the fiber. I pull out what will come out and tell you what won’t.

Odor Comes Back if the Source Is Still There

Surface cleaning handles surface smell. A spill that soaked into the padding is a different job.

Worn Trim Cleans Up. It Doesn’t Come Back.

Faded plastic and cracked vinyl get clean, not new.

The First Day After

Give the Protectant a Day

Skip the automatic wash for about 24 hours and let it settle.

Let Damp Fabric Finish Drying

If I shampooed carpet or seats, crack the windows where it’s safe to and give it a few hours. Mats stay out until they’re dry — a wet mat put back traps moisture under it.

Tires May Sling a Little at First

I wipe the excess for exactly this reason, but a fresh dressing can throw a few specks on the first drive. It wipes right off.

Pick Your Parking Spot That Night

Under a tree or in front of a sprinkler head undoes a day’s work before you wake up.

Between Details

Get Bird Droppings and Bugs Off Fast

In the sun they turn acidic and etch into the clear coat. Once it etches, washing won’t fix it.

Watch Where You Park

Sap from the tree overhead, sprinkler spray at the office, and all-day sun do more to your paint than driving does.

Skip the Car Cover

Trapped moisture spots the paint, and pulling the cover on and off drags grit across the finish.

Never Wipe a Dusty Car Dry

Dust is grit. A dry towel or a duster grinds it into the clear coat. Rinse it or leave it alone.

Every Couple of Weeks Is the Sweet Spot

Every wash touches your paint. A regular schedule keeps it clean without stacking up wash marks — that’s how the maintenance plans are spaced.

FAQ

What do I need to provide?
A water spigot, an outlet, and a safe, flat spot to work. I bring everything else. Gates, apartments, HOA rules — mention them in the quote form.
What if the weather turns?
If the weather won't let me do the job right, I text you and lock in a new day. No penalty.
Do I need to empty the vehicle?
Yes. Pull out valuables, paperwork, and loose items. The Interior Detail is built for an empty cabin, cargo area included.
Do you clean child car seats?
Yes, and there is no charge for it. Child seats get vacuumed out and the hard plastic wiped down with water as part of any interior. I do not put chemicals on harness straps, buckles or LATCH webbing, and I do not remove or reinstall the seat — those come out and go back in by you. If the fabric is heavily stained, that falls under heavy staining.
How is pet hair handled?
Normal shedding is part of a standard interior and costs nothing extra. Heavy hair takes significantly longer, and that is when the add-on applies — $35 car, $45 SUV or truck, $55 large SUV or van. Tell me up front so it is in the total I text you instead of a surprise later. Hair ground deep into the carpet is shampoo territory and quoted separately.
Do you take a deposit?
Not for standard jobs. Large commercial bookings might — I'll tell you before you book. Reschedule and cancellation terms come with your quote.
I rent, or I have an HOA. Can you come?
Yes, as long as the property allows mobile detailing. Check your HOA or lease rules and mention them in the quote form.
What if the condition is worse than described?
I look the vehicle over when I arrive. If it's rougher than described, I show you and agree on the price before any work starts. Nothing gets added without your ok.
What about cancellations?
Your quote comes with the reschedule and cancellation terms. If something at the site keeps me from doing the job right, I reschedule or cancel at no charge.
